On July 16, 2026, H.E. Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador of Thailand to Saudi Arabia, attended an online meeting on Science Diplomacy co-chaired by H.E.Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and H.E.Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

On this occasion, the Ambassador gave a briefing to the meeting about Saudi Arabia's potential fields of collaboration with Thailand in science, technology, and research.
Saudi Arabia is one of MHESI's targeted countries to, along with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strengthening scientific cooperation in the future.
