On 3 November 2026, Mr. Amnat Palapleewan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, accompanied by Mr. Natee Vichitsorasatra, Minister Counselor, the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh, and officials from the Department of Consular Affairs and Embassy, held a meeting with Mr. Ahmed bin Salama, Director-General of the General Department of Foreigners' Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia to promote bilateral cooperation in consular issues. The meeting is one of agreed activities under the relevant Initiative Card of the Saudi-Thai Coordination Council (STCC) in establishing expeditious communication and coordination channels between the consular authorities of both nations to effectively safeguard citizen welfare and facilitate bilateral travel. During their stay in Riyadh, the Thai delegation had a courtesy call on the Thai Ambassador as well as inspected the work at the Embassy's consular section. The delegation also visited the Boulevard World project where they met with the groups of Thai entrepreneurs and performers.
