On 29 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador of Thailand to Saudi Arabia, accompanied by Mr. Teerasak Yuphech, Minister Counsellor (Labour), and Mrs. Fame Buddhavadhana, Counsellor, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance Thailand–Saudi Arabia cooperation in the fields of industry as well as to promote Thai investment in potential areas like autoparts and energy. Both sides also discussed the possibility to import Thai skilled workers to serve in Saudi industrial sector.
