Non-Immigrant Visa (Long Stay) “O-A”

 

This type of visa may be issued to applicants aged 50 years and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 1 year without the intention of working.

 

Multiple Entries

Validity of Visa: 1 year

Period of Stay: not exceeding 1 year from the date of first entry

 

1. Eligibility

    1.1 Aged 50 years and over (on the day of submitting application).

    1.2 Not prohibited from entering Thailand.

    1.3 Having no criminal record in Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

    1.4 Having Saudi nationality or having Saudi Residence Identity Card / Iqama (Non-Saudi).

    1.5 Not having prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis)


2. Required Documents

    1) Duly-filled application form (3 copies) (Download)

    2) Three (3) Colour photographs (Passport Size) (taken within the last six (6) months)

    3) One Copy of ID Card (Saudi) or One Copy of Residence Identity Card (Non-Saudi)

    4) A personal data form (Download)

    5) A copy of bank statement showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 100,000.- SR. or an income certificate (original copy) with a monthly income of not less than 8,125.- SR., or a deposit account plus a monthly income totaling not less than 100,000.- SR.

    6) In case of submitting a bank statement, a letter of guarantees from the bank (original copy) is required.

    7) Original copy of Police Record (verification shall be issued for not more than three (3) months).

        The document should be translated into English language and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia beforehand.

    8) A medical certificate, showing no prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis) (The certificate shall be issued for not more than three (3) months)

        The document should be translated into English language and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia beforehand.

    9) Original Passport (with one copy) valid for at least eighteen (18) months

    10) The applicant must be medically insured for the entire period of stay in Thailand with the following coverage:

          - Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 5,000.- SR., and

          - Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 50,000.- SR.

         The applicants must submit the following:

         10.1 Health Insurance Policy Document issued by a Thai or foreign insurance company, stating that the applicant is medically insured for the period and with coverage as mentioned above:

                (a) In case of a foreign insurance company, the applicant must submit the original insurance policy document with 2 copies;

                (b) In case of a Thai insurance company, the applicant must submit 2 copies of the insurance policy document or, if available, the original insurance policy document with 2 copies.

                Valid Health Insurance Policy stating the coverage of all treatments and medical expenses in Thailand including COVID-19 with a minimum coverage of USD 100,000.-

         10.2 Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, which must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded here: http://longstay.tgia.org

    11) Fee 750.- SR. per person (Non-Refundable)


3. Recommendations for foreigners with Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A” (Long Stay) while staying in Thailand.

    3.1 Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of first entry.

    3.2 At the end of the 90-day stay, the foreigner must report to the Thai immigration officer in his or her residential area and report again every 90 days during his or her stay in Thailand. The foreigner may report to the nearest police station if there is no immigration office in his or her residential area.

    3.3 Foreigner may report to the competent authority by post and should provide the following:

         (a) A report form (Tor Mor 47)

              - A copy of passport pages showing the foreigner’s photo, personal details, and the latest arrival visa stamp.

              - A copy of the previous receipt of acknowledgement

         (b) A self-addressed envelope with postage affixed.

         Such documents must be sent to the Immigration Division 1, 120 Moo 3, Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210 and must be submitted 7 days before the end of every 90-day period. A receipt of acknowledgement will be given and should be used for future correspondence.

 

NB    Consular Officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary and also reserve the right to refuse visa application.
