Visa Exemption (Enter Thailand for tourism without a visa)
List of countries / territories whose nationals are exempted from visa to enter Thailand for tourism and are permitted to stay in Thailand for 45 days (Thailand’s unilateral scheme from 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023);
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malaysia, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mauritius, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, San Marino, SAUDI ARABIA, Singapore, Slovak, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, UAE, United Kingdom, USA, Peru, Hong Kong, Vietnam.
Travellers are able to make a transit/transfer for outbound international flights within 24 hours from Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK) and Don Muang airport (DMK), and from 1 July 2022, they do not need a health insurance.
Tourist Visa (TR)
Saudi nationals and foreigners residing in Saudi Arabia as well as Lebanese nationals and foreigners residing in Lebanon who wish to travel to Thailand for tourism are eligible to apply for Tourist Visa (TR).
Holders of Tourist Visa (TR) are allowed to stay in Thailand for 60 days from the date that they enter Thailand, extendable for maximum of 30 days (90 days in total).
For visa applicants in Saudi Arabia
All applicants shall go to apply for a visa at the Embassy by themselves. Currently all visa applicants can go to the Embassy without a prior appointment during 09.00 - 11.30 hrs. from Sunday to Thursday, except official holidays. They may collect the visa the next working day.
The applicants need to bring one passport-size photo. They also need to pay the visa fee in cash in Saudi riyals.
If the applicants are in the western part of Saudi Arabia, they can apply at the Thai Consulate in Jeddah. They should contact the Consulate directly at [email protected]
For visa applicants in Lebanon
Kindly note that all Thai Honorary Consulates including the one in Lebanon
have not been authorized to issue any visa from 28 May 2021.
