On 15 September 2026, Mr. Natee Vichitsorasatra, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., hosted a luncheon for two Thai delegations: a delegation from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, led by Dr. Chaichana Mitrpant, Executive Director of the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), who was in Riyadh to attend the 4th UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI (GFEAI 2026), held from 14–17 September 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh; and a delegation of Thai business representatives participating in the Hotel and Hospitality Expo, held from 15–17 September 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC), Riyadh, led by Mr. Apichart Prasertsood, Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Jeddah, together with officials from the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce.

On this occasion, the participants exchanged views on ways to promote Thailand–Saudi Arabia cooperation in the digital economy and related areas, as well as on trade promotion and business opportunities for Thai enterprises in the Saudi Arabian market, particularly in the sectors of interior design, furniture, and fit-out, which represent promising areas for expanding economic cooperation and trade between Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
