On 2 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accompanied by officials from Team Thailand, attended the launching ceremony for Riyadh Airline's inaugural flight (RX 853) operating on the Riyadh-Bangkok route.

The introduction of this direct flight will promote more people-to-people exchanges between the two nations as well as help increasing of import and export operations between Thailand and Saudi Arabia in the future.
