On 23 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accompanied by officials from Team Thailand, welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ismail Lutfi Japakiya, Rector of Fatoni University, and his delegation during their visit to Saudi Arabia. On this occasion, the promotion of academic , research and educational exchange between Thailand and Saudi Arabia as well as the enhancing of Thai students' educational opportunities and potential are among the key topics of discussion. Furthermore, the Ambassador also invited Fatoni University to consider organizing academic activities to joinly celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Thailand and Saudi Arabia next year.
