On April 24, 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy organized the "Thai Family Day: Bringing the Warmth of Home to the Heart of Saudi Arabia." The event successfully brought together over 200 members of the Thai community residing in Riyadh and nearby provinces. The event was organized to celebrate the Thai New Year (Songkran) and Family Day, serving as a vibrant gathering to unite the Thai community abroad. It aimed to strengthen the bonds of kinship while proudly preserving and promoting Thai cultural heritage in Saudi Arabia.

Following the opening ceremony, H.E. Ambassador and his spouse led the traditional water-pouring ceremony over a Buddha statue for auspicious blessings. The community then shared a meal and enjoyed the traditional Songkran water splashing.

The event also served as a vibrant showcase of Thai identity. Attendees dressed in elegant traditional Thai attire and were treated to cultural performances, including Thai classical dance and Muay Thai martial arts, alongside traditional fun fair games like balloon darts and ring toss.
