On 30 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, together with Mr. Tanit Loipimai, Minister Counsellor (Labour), Mr. Kritawit Madhyamankura, Minister Counsellor (Economic and Investment), and Mrs. Fame Buddhavadhana, Counsellor, paid a courtesy call on Eng. Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Obaikan, Chairman of the Riyadh Chamber, to further strengthen relations and discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his sincere appreciation to the Riyadh Chamber for its continued support of the Embassy’s work and the Thai private sector, particularly for its generosity in providing venues for Thai trade exhibitions on a regular basis. The Ambassador also sought the Chamber’s kind assistance in following up on the outcomes of the visit of Thailand’s Minister of Commerce to Saudi Arabia in December 2025.

In addition, the Ambassador briefed the Chairman on the Embassy’s planned economic activities for this year and requested the Chamber’s support in disseminating relevant information to its members. In response, the Chairman commended the Embassy’s efforts in advancing Thai–Saudi economic cooperation and reaffirmed the Riyadh Chamber’s readiness to work closely with the Embassy.
